Creationists Protest Pokémon Fossil Exhibit

CHICAGO, IL — Teens and stunted adults across Chicago were thrilled when it was announced the Field Museum would be host to the new  Pokémon Fossil Museum. This exhibit features a number of  Pokémon skeletons displayed alongside real life geological samples. However, days after opening the exhibit, museum curators were surprised to see a small group protesting outside. The organization identifying themselves as People for Designating Intelligent Design During Young Earth or ( P.D.I.D.D.Y.E) sent a representative to do an exclusive interview with the Associated Jest. 

“We here at P.D.I.D.D.Y.E  are frankly appalled that something like this would be marketed towards children. We have been and always will be proponents for young earth creationism. We believe all life on this planet was created simultaneously around 6,000 to 10,000 years ago. This of course includes Pokémon. The notion that  Pokémon or any other life form on this planet have evolved from earlier species is a level of ridiculousness seen only on modern MTV.” 

Despite the dozens of P.D.I.D.D.Y.E protesters outside of the museum. The new exhibition has been a relative hit, and is already sold out months in advance. To combat the continuous influx of visitors, P.D.I.D.D.Y.E has launched a counter exhibit at the hub of creationism itself. The Ark Encounter in Williamstown Kentucky. Head of the new exhibition Henry Gladstone released this statement advertising the exhibit. 

“The Ark Encounter has been and continues to be an amazing piece of religious history. Here people can come and see just exactly how Noah and his family would’ve packed the world's animals onto the Ark to survive the flood. Naturally as all life was created at once, we included the dinosaurs and other species not around today, as to be more accurate to what Noah would have brought with him. And now, we are proud to announce that we have a brand new  Pokémon section added to the Ark Encounter.” 

The new section of the Ark Encounter includes depictions of all your favorite Pokémon being loaded into the ark two by two. Just as it really happened. Shockingly the new exhibit also includes artist renderings of all the  Pokémon pairs disembarking the ark and banging non-stop to repopulate the planet. 

At press time, P.D.I.D.D.Y.E have been forced to pack it in for now. As their efforts to discourage visitors to the Pokémon fossil museum have been in vain. However, the Ark Encounter did report massive financial gains due to their post flood Pokémon gang bang exhibit. Curators for the encounter are currently working on exciting new ways to incorporate Pokémon sex scenes into other bible stories with mixed results.
