CHICAGO — McDonald's has partnered with US Secretary of Health and Human Services Robert F. Kennedy Jr. for the brand-new limited-time "RFK Jr. Measles & McNuggets Meal," a spokesperson for the company reports.
"Honestly, we're just trying shit with these crossover meals." said McDonald's VP of Marketing Michelle Peters. "I mean we never in a million years thought [Secretary Kennedy] would actually agree to it. Like, what? But we were having some drinks, just pitching anything and everything. A real free exchange of ideas. And then one of the guys in Creative threw out 'measles and mcnuggets.' Like off the dome. That was it. So we made some calls."
Secretary Kennedy himself could not be more pumped to share the meal with Americans, praising McDonald's creation as revolutionary.
"Nobody's ever tried anything like this before." explained a sweat-soaked Secretary Kennedy. "What they've done is they took an inactive strain of the Measles virus and cooked that into the nuggets. When people eat that, the dormant antigen helps your body build an immunity to that virus. It's magic, what these people are doing."
While the Measles Mcnuggets are certainly impressive, critics claim the technique is nothing new.
"So, what the Secretary is describing is a vaccine." said US Commissioner of Food and Drug Marty Makary. "I have to admit, I've never seen a vaccine in McNugget form, but yes, essentially they've created a vaccine."
At press time, McDonald's CEO Chris Kempczinski has yet to try the Measles McNuggets, but swears he will once he's tried the regular McNuggets first.
